Its very easy to link the app with your camera. Just turn on the wifi on the camera and your phone and press the link button on the app.
You can download a custom firmware that write video at 35mbps from Here. Before you do that though you need to find your build number. To do that you just open the app and on the settings you will find the serial number for your device. Look for the first 3 or 4 numbers in order to figure out what firmware is good for your device. Your battery needs to be more than 70% before you start flashing the firmware.
